KYRTR™ / PROFILE COPYING
Trace the Shape. Transfer the Fit. 📐
A slim locking contour gauge with closely spaced sliding pins that follow irregular edges, plus a bright orange lever to help hold the copied outline while you transfer it.
For Edges That Aren’t Straight
Trim around pipes, curved corners, flooring transitions, and shaped workpieces can be difficult to reproduce with a ruler alone. The kyrtr™ Locking Contour Gauge uses rows of narrow sliding pins to follow the outline of a surface. Once the pins have taken the shape, the locking lever helps retain the profile while you move the gauge to the material being marked.
PIN ARRAY
Follows the Outline
The sliding pins create a physical template from the contour of the target edge.
LOCKING LEVER
Helps Hold the Shape
The orange lever helps keep the pin profile steady during transfer and marking.
How to Use It
- Place the gauge against the edge or shape you want to copy.
- Press the pin array gently and evenly until it follows the contour without forcing the pins.
- Engage the locking lever to help hold the profile in place.
- Move the gauge to the workpiece and trace the outline with a pencil.
- Check the traced line and test-fit the material before cutting or trimming.
WORKSHOP REFERENCE
Overall gauge size: 10.0 × 4.0 × 1.2 in
Displayed weight: 0.65 lb
Where It Helps
- Tracing curved or irregular trim profiles.
- Transferring the outline around pipes and conduits.
- Planning flooring or countertop cuts around shaped edges.
- Copying contours for woodworking and general home projects.
The gauge transfers a shape; it does not measure the material thickness or guarantee a finished cut. Always check the marked outline and use suitable cutting protection.
